Uhh...hey

So for the 7 of you who read this, i apologize for the lack of posts. Its been over a month since the last post and I got to do some really cool stuff. Ross and I went to watch stage 3 and 4 of the Tour of Missouri (photos pending) and got to watch a lot of big names ride their bicycles. (Hincapie, Levi, Contador...etc). And then on Saturday I got to finally race my mountain bike at Devils Den. I got second. It was a really good race and i felt awesome. I'll post again soon with photos and stuff.

Overdid it.

Anyone reading this? If not, I can say anything I want here.

THIS WEATHER IS AS HOT AS TITS

So I did a few hill repeats around my parents neck of the woods today to see if I really over did it on the Tuesday group ride when I got my max heart rate up to 207. I should be dead. Needless to say the next day I didn't feel quite up to par to even peddle. I approached the first hill climb easier than normal, but still going the same speed. I stayed in the saddle the whole time and my heart rate was about 10 to 12 beats lower than usual at the crest of the hill. I expected my heart rate to be a little higher than usual because of the unusual high max of Tuesdays ride. But todays ride was shorter than usual, its 101 degrees right now as I write this. I only rode for like 30 minutes, so I reckon i'll go do a few more later on this evening when its a little cooler. Holy crap its hot. I still prefer the summer over the winter.

3 Flats, 2 C02 cartridges, 1 testicle.

Well, it felt like 1 testicle after i slid off my saddle and wracked myself at one point in the Race. Anyway, the race ended up being a DNF for me, so thats 2 this year. It was nice to have some fam and friends there to greet me at the finish line. I had to walk my bike in, it sucked. Oh well, i still really like that course, and my legs felt really good too. I caught up with my group twice, so I had to floor it a couple times to chase back to where i was originally at the start of the race. After the race I thought it was a good idea to leave my debit card in an ATM machine in Eureka, so i have no access to money at this point, and all I want to do is just eat a really juicy unhealthy cheese burger. Ross came to the rescue again and offered to buy my shit. I also have to thank her for her Crankset and c02....THANKS ROSS! I also got some type of bacterial stomach infection from my dirty water bottle lid, so the next 5 days I was peeing out the butt and had horrible cramps that sent me to the ground. Reguardless of all that, I still can't wait till next race...always excited.

The most rediculous time trial bike ever made

I know Cannondale has always beenvery innovative, but this is just outta control. and really kick ass.

Monday ride, 75 miles

Killa KY and I rode from Springdale to Fort Smith yesterday. Despite the Boston Mountains, constant traffic from Alma to home, and the thunderstorms... it was a pretty good ride. Kyle has gotten really good at climbing, however he weighs about 40 pounds lighter than me. My back is frickin' sore.

Independence Day

So its 12:11 am, July 4th. Fireworks have been going on now for the past 2 hours. The more that go off, the more I get pissed. I'm tired, i've put in around 6 hours of riding in the past 2 days and all I want to do is get some f*cking sleep. But then I realized, its our Independence Day! Celebrate the shit out of this holiday!

3 Races down, 7 to go

Had another pretty hard race last Sunday at Burns Park in Little Rock. Excellent course, lots of smooth single track and a couple of leg breaking climbs. I managed to get 8th place out of 11 racers. Not bad considering I blew up after the 2nd lap and had to change a flat. I thought I was going to pass out the second time we did the first climb on the course, it is seriously one of the hardest climbs on the AMBCS circuit. My heart rate peaked at 199 at the crest of it, and my average heart rate was 181 during the race. It hurt. It was still a really fun race, and plenty of people from the team were there. I think my favorite time ever to enjoy a nice cold beer is immediatley after a race... screw water. SILVER BULLET!

My new bike!

Heres my Giant XTC '07

Pretty much same component group as last year, except Nokon Cables & Housing. (Its BA)
21 Pounds!

And heres my Scott CR1 06', b.a. as well.
